Bermuda, a British beautiful little island in the middle of the North Atlantic ocean and is known for its amazing beaches with pink sand. Bermuda is considered a sub-tropical island and is not considered part of the Caribbean, however it’s waters are some of the most beautiful I’ve even seen. Located 700 miles off the Carolina’s Coastline, makes this destination a short 2 hour flight from most east coast cities. Forgive me…this is a long post! So much gorgeousness in one place, I couldn’t help but share all of it!

We stayed at the beautiful 5 star, Hamilton Princess Hotel & Beach Club (nicknamed “The Pink Palace”). We chose this hotel because it was centrally located and had just gone a major renovation including the purchase of a private beach club. With only a 5 minute walk to downtown Hamilton’s restaurants and shopping, this location was key for our first visit!
Our room had a gorgeous view of the marina and ocean. Super clean and newly renovated with modern decor.
Although, we loved the relaxation of the rooms and the pools in the marina, our favorite part of the hotel was the private beach club. A complimentary hotel jitney (bus) took us on the 20 min journey to the other side of the island where the Hamilton Princess Beach Club was located. You had to show your hotel key card to enter, making this club truly private. It’s gorgeous cove protected us from wind and truly was a view to always remember!

Not to forget the amazing Exhale Spa and Fitness Center. I tried a barre class and if our stay would have been longer I would have also enjoyed a cycle or cardio class as well.

There are 2 other resorts that I would highly recommend. We toured both properties and although both were pricier (more points) than the Hamilton Princess, I would love to stay at either next time we travel to Bermuda!
The Loren at Pink Beach. After opening in 2017 as the island’s first new-build hotel in 45 years, The Loren at Pink Beach offers only 45 suites all facing the water. This new Tucker’s Town hotel features and amazing spa, infinity pools and gorgeous accommodations.

The second hotel that is a must see and or stay is the Rosewood Bermuda, also located at Tucker’s Point. This resort in my opinion is the most luxurious resort on the entire island to date. Top end service and a golfer’s paradise, this resort easily earns all 5 stars!

Huckleberry’s at the Rosedon Hotel right across the street. They have an amazing outdoor covered patio and exceptional food. We ate breakfast here twice!

The Pink Beach Club at The Loren…and yes, the view is breathtaking!
Restaurant 1609 at The Hamilton Princess
And of course the Hamilton Princess Beach Club…the grilled red snapper and rose made the perfect combo!

Beaches, beaches, beaches…you must visit as many as you can! Our favorites were: Horseshoe Bay (always busy, at the entrance start heading left…very left, away from the crowd, Jobson’s Cove & Warwick Long Bay Beach.
Also, check out Gibbs Lighthouse and the Crystal Caves. We visited the Crystal Caves (5 min drive from airport) on our way home. They were kind enough to hold our luggage. Really really cool!

Bermuda does not allow visitors to rent cars. Remember, this is a British Island, so you drive on the opposite side of the road…maybe, that’s why car rentals are prohibited. Although, you can’t rent a standard car, you can rent scooters or mini electric cars. Both great options to explore. We found that cabs were easily accessible and fairly reasonable in cost. There is also an app called, Hitch…Bermuda’s Uber.
Most exciting part of vacationing is always the cost once you learn how travel hack!
Delta Flights out of Chicago O’hare: 20,000 pts. + $135.04 x 2= $270.08
Hamilton Princess through Chase Ultimate Rewards: 20,500 pts/night x 4 nights= 82,000 + $96 property fee + Cleaning $88
Total flight/hotel price = $454.08
Told you it was a long post…but Bermuda is a bucket list must! Like the song…”Bermuda, Bahamas, come on pretty Momma”.
