I had a client contact me to help arrange a 5-star resort/ getaway for he and his wife. He had a combination of points and miles stacked up and wanted to apply them for a memorable, relaxing vacation, and he hoped he could find an all-inclusive resort.
I knew just the place, The Miraval Arizona Resort & Spa, for six nights.

With rates around $1300/night, I suggested he use a combination of points. He had available World of Hyatt Points and Chase Ultimate Reward Points to apply toward his stay. He will move Chase points to Hyatt points at a 1:1 ratio. The current Hyatt point rate is 65,000 points for double occupancy. That’s pretty steep! But Miraval has a fantastic promotion through 2020. Buy one night, get one free, and $175 per person credit on a paid (points) night. Score!
I’ll break it down further. Our clients will stay for 195,000 points in total. And Miraval offers 25% of points to be returned to their World of Hyatt card just for staying!
All-Inclusive.
Miraval Arizona is an all-inclusive resort where all meals, snacks, and non-alcohol beverages are included. In addition, Miraval offers over 120 complimentary wellness activities, including; yoga, meditation, hiking, fitness classes, and more. Activities such as horseback riding, spa treatments, culinary classes are extra…but our travelers will have $350 total toward these paid activities.
Pro tip: I suggested that our clients book all activities and dining options as spots fill up fast.
The resort is in “Miraval Mode”- no digital devices. Their motto: unplug and be present.
