Real Client Success Story
The Goal.
Collecting points and miles does not have to be complicated when you have a strategic plan. I met with a couple last summer who were not yet ready to travel but wanted to collect as many “flexible travel” points as they could with the intent to travel on credit points as soon as they felt it was safe. Their goal was to take a much-needed couples trip to a 5-star resort.
The Plan.
They each took out two different travel credit cards over the last eight months and shifted their everyday spending to their new cards. They were able to hit 4 separate sign-on bonus points. Once bonuses were met, I laid out which cards to use when (groceries, gas, dining, travel, etc.), so they could continue to stack up their credit card points.
Last week we met again, and I helped them transfer and combine their points and then strategize the best way to use them. We looked at shoulder season (after spring break) in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. I am happy to report they are booked at the 5-star Esperanza, Auberge Resorts Collection in Cabo San Lucas.
The Stay.
They are staying in a King, oceanfront, 925 sq. ft. room using their flexible travel credit card points, saving them $5105.00
